This new facility consolidates researchers and clinicians under one roof and provides a clinical model that integrates patient care, research, and education under one roof and offers state-of-the-art, out-patient care for the southern California region. The project added seven stories of advanced heart center, heart institute, neurosciences, out-patient services, and research space. The project also included five stories of parking.
inici coordinated over $36 million in equipment purchasing, delivery, and installation as well as transitioning departments and patients into new space with little disruption to the hospital. inici supported communications, schedule, and managed the overall process with over 15 user groups. Utilizing the inici group developed equipment database, we provided the team with real-time reports on budget, schedule, and delivery of thousands of very complex and important pieces of medical equipment for the Cedars-Sinai management team, including tracking and verifying all equipment including specification verification, procurement, installation, functionality verification, and operational and workflow validation.
The project won a 2018 Healthcare Design Award from the American Institute of Architects.
