As part of a voter-approved $90 million bond measure, the Pauling/DeJardin Science Complex on the Clackamas Community College (“CCC”) Oregon City campus is undergoing an extensive renovation and addition. The improvements will double the current chemistry lab capacity, accommodating an additional 250 chemistry students a year. It also creates new state-of-the-art science labs for biology, microbiology, and anatomy, collaboration space to expand opportunities for partnership research, concentrated wet lab support services to provide more efficient staff support, student collaboration spaces, and support for the STEM club.
The completed project will serve all science and allied health majors, including physics, chemistry, biology, water/wastewater, environmental sciences, cellular and molecular invertebrate studies, geologic studies, and health science prerequisites such as anatomy and physiology.
The project includes a new CCC transit center and shared-use path that connects the transit center to the adjacent high school.
