As part of a voter-approved $90 million bond measure, the DeJardin Science Hall on the Clackamas Community College (“CCC”) Oregon City campus underwent an extensive renovation and addition. The improvements doubled the current chemistry lab capacity, accommodating an additional 250 chemistry students per year. It also created new state-of-the-art science labs for biology, microbiology, and anatomy, collaboration space to expand opportunities for partnership research, concentrated wet lab support services to provide more efficient staff support, student collaboration spaces, and support for the STEM club.
The completed project serves all science and allied health majors, including physics, chemistry, biology, water/wastewater, environmental sciences, cellular and molecular invertebrate studies, geologic studies, and health science prerequisites such as anatomy and physiology.
The project includes a new CCC transit center and a shared-use path that connects the transit center to the adjacent high school.
