Sauvie Island School (“SIS”) is a kindergarten through eighth-grade publicly-funded charter school located on scenic Sauvie Island. SIS was formed in 2011 from the Scappoose School District Sauvie Island Elementary School and is governed by a seven-member Board.
Funded by the Joyce Miller Owens Charitable Foundation, this 3,100-SF classroom addition is located to the Northwest of the existing SIS school building and includes new classrooms and a science lab, as well as new lockers and restrooms. Along with managing the project & construction, inici coordinated all furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E).
Construction began in March 2018 and was completed in time for classes to begin in September.
