Oregon Convention Center Plaza, Entries, & Interior Renovation

Portland, Oregon
Metro Government

The Oregon Convention Center includes 255,000 square feet of exhibition space featuring the largest ballroom in the city of Portland at 35,000 square feet. Originally built in 1989 and expanded in 2003, the facility is due for some modernization and improvements.

Interior and exterior renovations are aimed at reflecting a more modern look and improving visitor wayfinding to the main entries and throughout the facility.  Exterior improvements will consist of landscape and hardscape changes to the NE entry plaza to make the plaza more inviting, link to the new Oregon Convention Center Hotel, and improve visitor wayfinding to the main entries.  Exterior improvements will also include new canopies at the main entrances to the building.  Interior improvements consist of upgrades and renovations to various spaces including the Holladay lobby, MLK lobby, Oregon Ballroom and its pre-function space, exhibit hall A, B, and C entries with pre-function space, meeting room pre-functions, restroom improvement, connecting corridor upgrades, and various other interior improvements including new carpet, new wall treatments, and incorporating a variety of ceiling features.
