Clackamas Community College worked through the summer months to renovate the existing Randall Hall building to have it ready for the start of the new school year in September. Improvements included the complete seismic rehabilitation/retrofit of Randall Hall as well as improvements to interior spaces. Work included renovating the locker room to modernize the roughly 8,500-SF of space, providing ADA access to the bathrooms and bringing the locker rooms into compliance with Title IX requirements. The renovated space also provides meeting spaces for athletic teams and coaches before and after competitions, and better storage solutions for equipment and uniforms.
The addition of a new 45-foot shotcrete wall along one edge of the gymnasium is the only visible element of the seismic upgrade. The gymnasium floor was refinished, elevators were upgraded, repairs were made to the Randall Hall tunnel, and a new roof was installed.
