As part of a larger master plan to renovate and expand Willamette View’s entire 27-acre retirement community campus located on the Willamette River, Riverview, the flagship restaurant on campus, was reshaped, redesigned, and rebuilt. The renovation shifts the building to the South and adds three walls of windows to provide panoramic views of the Willamette River. The renovation includes an all new, larger kitchen for the 31-person cooking staff, a new tavern and bar, a veranda for outdoor seating, and a modern marketplace where tenants can pick up fresh groceries and fresh-made, to-go food options such as soups and entrees. The new building also houses a 300-seat auditorium, doubling the seating space for movies, forums, and events. The auditorium is open to outside groups and events.
The new Riverview offers a restaurant-style venue offering fresh farm-to-table meals. The tavern offers a more casual menu, with beers on tap, local wines, and cocktails.
