LACCD is using the inici group-developed Whole Building Commissioning Program for work associated with this $9.5 billion bond program covering nine different campuses. Whole Building Commissioning was developed to deliver higher quality facilities through careful coordination between contractors, designers, owners, vendors, and users. The program begins at the design stage and continues through completion and occupancy, providing measurable value for the District by mitigating construction defects before they become a problem down the building’s lifecycle.
The campaign includes eight LEED-certified projects on the Valley College campus and at a District level, as well as construction projects on nine different campuses. inici team members work with LACCD to provide closeout, gap filling, and project management, coordinating project schedule and budget, implementing equipment and maintenance tracking, creating RFPs for public bid, reviewing submitted proposals, commissioning plans, coordinating design review comments, witnessing equipment testing, creating visual observation reports, tracking all closeout documents, coordinating and documenting facilities training, and completing training and video documentation.
