The fast-tracked “refresh” of the Washburne Hall Student Union building included remodeling the servery, lounge areas, and campus dining area. Additionally, a Starbucks was added and the campus Bookstore was brought back on campus to better serve the needs of students.
The project included the addition of a 45’ x 26’ skylight over the servery area, audio/visual upgrades, new lighting, finishes, furniture, outdoor seating and exterior terraced areas, ADA accessible ramps, and landscaping.
The refresh transformed this 1960s modernist building into a revitalized gathering space for students, staff, and visitors.
The project was completed in 12 weeks.
