inici group principal Karl Schulz was the Senior Project Manager responsible for the daily and long-term planning and construction activities of this multi-phase, fast-track bidding project. Karl coordinated all activities required to design and build four building projects for Washington County, several of which involved significant security and technology elements. In addition, Karl coordinated planning for 15 user groups for completion of design and coordinated all issues with regulatory agencies, including city and state. He also managed multiple hazardous materials clean-up programs for the sites.

The 500,000 SF Justice Complex included a 542-cell maximum and medium security detention facility, a 219-bed minimum residential environment security release facility, a 625-space, six story parking structure with 14,000 SF of retail space, a 70,000 SF Sheriff’s Office with evidence and forensics lab, and an 8,000 SF arraignment courtroom and support spaces with video, including touch screen security systems.
